Project Brief
Studio Posty collaborated with Akash Gupta, a renowned Indian standup comedian, to design promotional assets for the India tour of his standup comedy special 'Daily Ka Kaam Hai'. The objective was to create a static poster and an animated version that captured the essence of his tour while engaging his audience. The designs had to convey key details like performance cities, dates, and the tour's branding, ensuring maximum reach and audience engagement.

The design process for the poster involved exploring a wide range of creative concepts before arriving at the final look. Each design iteration experimented with different typography styles, color schemes, Akash Gupta's poses, and props, allowing for diverse visual interpretations of the theme. Despite the variety, every exploration maintained two consistent elements: Akash Gupta as the focal point and the bold title of the comedy special.

The static poster featured Akash Gupta creatively positioned on a steering wheel, symbolizing his journey across cities for the tour. The vibrant design prominently highlighted Akash's name at the center, surrounded by a list of cities and their corresponding performance dates. The use of teal blue as the primary color aligned with the brand identity of the tour. The design not only informed but also resonated with Akash's brand, offering a sense of fun and excitement reflective of his comedic style.

Animated Poster Design
To amplify the impact of the poster, we developed an animated version that transformed the static design into an immersive experience. The animation included a moving cityscape in the background, symbolising Akash traveling across cities for his performances. Subtle jerky movements were added to imitate a vehicle's motion. The title of the show and Akash's name were highlighted using a subtle scale up and down text effect. Additionally, the animated poster featured sound effects such as honking horns and traffic ambiance, making the design more alive. A notable feature was the inclusion of animated 'Sold Out' stickers over city names, further emphasising the success and popularity of the tour.

The poster design for Akash Gupta's India tour, Daily Ka Kaam Hai, successfully captured the attention of his audience and boosted awareness about the tour. The animated version, with its engaging motion effects and realistic sound design, added an extra layer of creativity and interactivity. The 'sold out' stickers highlighted the overwhelming success of the shows, creating a sense of urgency and excitement among viewers. The campaign was widely appreciated and reached over 500K views on Instagram, significantly contributing to ticket sales and solidifying the visual identity of the tour.
